Petition & Appoint
Petition the court to open probate and appoint a Personal Representative.
05.
Inform the Family
Once appointed, the Personal Representative must inform all devisees and heirs that the estate has been opened.
06.
Inventory the Assets
Within 90 days of appointment, the Personal Representative must file an inventory of all of the assets that the decedent owned valued as of the date of passing.
07.
Address Creditor Claims
Handle any creditor claims that may be filed with the Probate Court.
08.
Close the Estate
Closeout Estate with required documents and by distributing all assets per the will or the intestacy statute.
